Adele Bevacqua

Adele Bevacqua is an Australian artist based in Brisbane. She specialises in heavily textured abstract oil paintings. 

After living for a brief stint in vibrant India, Adele’s love for colour is a strong influence and appears in all different shapes and forms. She interprets light, movement and emotion through layers of expressive strokes and marks, and is in love with this creative process. She takes her time creating each painting, and is forced to go slow given the drying time of some of her pieces (can be a few months!). Fun fact: she hates pink, but for some reason always paints with it! 

“I love bringing to light emotion and rawness on canvas. But most importantly, I love creating beautiful paintings that make people feel at home. That feeling when you look at something and feel at peace! That’s what I aim for. I try not to take life too seriously, my paintings have been fun to create and I hope the viewer feels this.”
